Chester Carlson's invention of elctorphotography, which later became known as xerography revolutionised the way documents were duplicated and laid the groundwork for Xerox's success in the photocopier industry.Xerox's Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) played a crucial role in developing many of the key innovations that later became integral to personal computers, including the graphical user interface (GUI) and mouse. Instead of using these innovations they allowed other companies, particularly apple to adopt and refine this concept.
